Not Your Mother's Dry Shampoo

This is something that is different to my blog, but I though hey Youtuber's do it all the time on their channels why can't I write about it on my blog? I will be giving you my first thoughts on it, the final verdict and if I would recommend it to anyone. So yay, here we go! 

Today's product to be reviewed is "Not Your Mother's Dry Shampoo".

• Retails for about $4.74 at Wal-mart.
• Contains 7oz (198 g)
• Claims: "Absorbs Excess Oil, Cleans Without Water, Lite Matte Finish"

First Impression: I don't think that's a necessarily fresh kind of scent I want in my hair. When they say a fresh scent I was thinking more of cotton-y or like clean laundry.. not like a diaper or wipes for a baby.  As for the claim of it being "lite matte finish", I have some mixed feelings. As for it being "lite" I don't totally agree, it actually felt like it weighed my hair down and for the matte finish, I wasn't impressed at all. It made it matte for only a little while then an hour to 2 hours later I can feel it getting greasy again. And odd enough, it makes my hair knotty..

Final Verdict: I've used this around 5 times already so I think it's time to give you my final thoughts. This product is actually a lot better when you do not use it on "second day hair". I washed my hair last night and I woke up with slightly greasy hair from putting too much leave in conditioner last night. I used this and it soaked it right up. I still hate how it left my hair knotty forcing me to brush it and knock down any kind of volume I was receiving from it.

Would I Recommend It?: 

✗ No, honestly I do not think I would recommend this to anyone. Instead I would recommend Batiste Dry Shampoo. It doesn't show the price of it on the Wal-Mart website, but it is 6.73 fl oz and comes in plenty of different fragrances to choose from. My favorite so far is the Blush one. This dry shampoo really does a good job or removing the excess oil for a long period of time while adding a really pleasant scent to your hair. I feel like it does do the job whether you just washed it or on second or third day hair and doesn't weigh it down at all! Such an amazing product!
