Yesterday I almost cried saying goodbye to her at the international airport. It wasn't only because I know I'll miss her so much.. but because I'm sad that I can't go with her and explore together like we always planned. She's going to London, England for 4 months for her study abroad class. I wish I could have had the same opportunity as she did so we could both be in England right now. As she was heading towards her gate to pass through security I screamed, "GOODBYE STEPH, WE LOVE YOU!" so everyone could hear how much we loved that one human being. It felt so wrong not leaving with her to be honest..
Don't get me wrong guys, I am extremely proud of my cousin for facing her fears and going out into this great big world. I know being in a school far from home may be hard, but going into a different country... you have to be so brave for that. I'm glad she did it for herself, so that she will not have any regrets later on in life.
Once we were there and she left, I started talking to my mom about going on another adventure with her in the near future. Hopefully back to England if my cousin said it was worth it. My mom knows about my cousin and I always planning out different places we wanted to visit in the world so she understood and supported me with every spontaneous idea I was throwing at her. She even said to tell my cousin to spot out a few places we could go while she's there. I would absolutely love to go to England and hear everyone's accent and just experience the culture.
I want to go England, New Zeland, Australia, Hawaii, Italy...just everywhere honestly! I have this thirst for just going everywhere and exploring things I've never experienced before. Hopefully next time someone is going on an international trip I'll be there with them and setting a new adventure. Do you have somewhere you've always wanted to go? Don't wait! Start saving now to get a head start on future spontaneous trips. It's not impossible to travel, you just have the desire and passion like we do. I'm starting my funds so hopefully I can go somewhere in my near future with either my boyfriend or my cousin. I'm really excited that I can have this little glimpse of hope to look forward and work hard to achieve.
Goodluck Steph! I hope you learn new things, have fun and stay safe! I hope next time I'll be there sitting right next to you on a plane to Rome. :)
