Lo'real Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation

Hey guys! I've been using this foundation for a few weeks now, so I have some input for ya.

Claims:
"L'Oreal Makeup Designer Paris presents Infallible Pro-Matte 24HR Foundation, air-light texture with a demi-matte finish. For the 1st time, a super gliding mattifying formula with a high water content for maximum comfort that lasts. Contains Shine Defy Blotting Spheres that act like blotting paper to mimic makeup artist gesture, instantly absorbing sweat and oil without disturbing color pigments. Medium coverage." (Taken from Ulta's website).

First Impression/Application:
I had really high hope for this foundation because of Katy, LustreLux (pictured above) on Youtube. She swore by this foundation. I really wanted to try it out because during the summer I wanted something that was matte for my partially oily skin. It's easy to work with and blend out, but the color options kind of suck, I like the formula, but it does cling on to dry patches. It's super friggen waterproof! Yes waterproof! I went in the pool a few days with it and it stood on like a champ. Coverage wise, I believe it is medium coverage. I don't like building it up to be full coverage right away because it kind of feel uncomfortable on my skin and makes it feel tight..if that makes any sense. *BTW- it is very matte at first, but after a few hours, it goes to like a more natural-oily face. NAH MEAN??

Would I recommend:
I believe all of the claims, so yes I would recommend. Although, on my skin it wasn't entirely full coverage. Keep in mind my skin is all kinds of messed up with acne and scarring, so I'm very picky about the coverage of my makeup. Little side note here, the color range is kind of weird. She swatched most of the colors in her review video so check that out for her opinions. But for me, the color that I picked is still too pink to match my neck. It's so annoying because this tends to happen with me and drugstore makeup. My skin has a weird like yellow/olive undertone, but most drugstore products are pinky. This one offers more yellow shades..but they're dark ahah so I can't win.

Overall, I really do enjoy this foundation for my more oily days. Now that it's getting colder here in New Jersey, I really don't see myself using this foundation anymore honestly. My skin has been rather dry and actually peeling because of new acne medication (but that's another post!). Love this foundation for summer especially since I know I can wear it in the pool and it won't budge.
