Veganism.. Yes or No?

For the past couple of months have been thinking about going Vegan all because of one on my Beauty Guru Inspirations: Karissa Pukas. She has been a very supporting activist of veganism and eating healthier. I would really enjoy to explore this option and see if it's something I would really like to be apart of. If you do not know what a vegan is here is about.com's definition: "Veganism is a type of vegetarian diet that excludes meat, eggs, dairy products and all other animal-derived ingredients." (To read more of this article just click here) Being 100% Puerto Rican, we love our meats and every kind of it, from pork chops, pernil to ribs and chicken..it's almost impossible not to want them at every family gathering. I crave those types of meat every night for dinner..imagine creating a lifestyle about it months on end?

PLEASE do not get me wrong here! I disagree with animal abuse and cruelty and I understand that what these animals go through and it is unfair. But you have to understand that being Spanish you are practically raised with eating meat for almost every meal. I as others may feel that since we are not looking and seeing the animals be killed that we have done no harm ourselves to them. Now I am not trying to stir up any commotion here, this is simply my opinion whether you agree with it or not..remember the whole point of this is saying that I would love to try this lifestyle out. I can really appreciate every vegan that is participating for their love for animals and wanting to keep their lives as healthy as possible. You inspire me and I can only wish I was strong enough to change my lifestyle like you all do.

Of course being a vegan doesn't necessarily mean only eating habits are changed, if you read up more on that article, you will know that choosing vegan means staying away from any products tested on animals. Which I am a strong believer of that..so I'm kind of like half vegan haha. Anywhooo.. if you want to watch Karissa's Youtube video on the vegan snacks she got from Vegan Cuts then watch this video below (it's from last year) and join in to a better, healthier life! I think it would be fun to do this with someone to really keep each other strong and encouraging. It's better to live that way and I will let you all know if I do try..hopefully in the summer time!

Thanks for reading.. now here's Karissa's video!!!
