My Inspiration: Chelsea Huska from Teen Mom 2

If you know me than you'd know that I like to watch a lot of my MTV shows and Teen Mom is one of them. I more so like it to see the struggles the teen moms went through so that I know to wait a little longer until I get excited about having a bun in the oven. Chelsea Huska and her daughter Aubree were always my favorite from the second season and I must say that I am extremely proud of her being a mommy and going back to school.

People have in their minds the definition of school as being just books, constant papers to write and a big college...but others like Chelsea and myself.. have rooted towards the not-so-typical path and become more of a hands on, let's see results right now kind of student. I don't want to have to worry about writing a paper on something that nobody even cares about; I want to do hands on where I can learn right that second. Being in college for the 1 semester that I was in really angered me at how some teachers teach and think that students can want to learn that way. If I was to go to an esthetic school and a fashion school then I will be learning what I want without any bullshit classes that are a waste of time and money. Chelsea, although with a 4 year old beautiful daughter, has now created an amazing career for herself and something Aubree can be proud of when she grows up.

Beauty artists are one of the most underestimated workers in the world, but in my opinion they work just as hard..but they have way more fun. I am not only happy for her, but I am very proud of myself for not choosing a boring path that might have left me feeling very empty and unhappy. I stuck to my guns and my heart against all the negativity that my parents alone gave me for it. I have only a few people that stood by my side and I can't thank them enough for believing in me 100% (my cousin Stephanie& my boyfriend).

Despite my parents blueprints for my future, I decided I need to make myself happy. So as of right now I am only working one job, but hope to get another to save up money. In the fall I would really like to go to esthetic school to be an esthetician and then in the spring semester I hope to go to FIT in NY and fulfill both of my dreams in just 1 year. Crazy fun plan right?! I can't believe that I found a new future for myself and I actually love this one. I am super excited for it and I have Chelsea to thank, watching her episodes really made me interested and excited and I am elated to begin!

Follow your dreams guys! Don't let anyone come in the way of them, because in the end your happiness is the ONLY thing that matters. Even if you feel like all the odds are stacked up against you, you can overcome the negativity and the disbelief and be what you want to be. It might sound cliche, but honestly if YOU believe you can do it, then YOU can and YOU will! I believe in you! Remember that!
