Something I Wouldn't Normally Do..

Yesterday I was extremely apprehensive when my boyfriend wanted to take me out on his new dirt bike his friend gave to him. I was nervous that maybe we would hit a big bump and I'd fly off.. or my feet would get stuck on something and I'd break my leg. A bit dramatic?...I think not. Growing up I was a smidge of a tom-boy so I always wanted to go dirt bike riding, but as I got older and realized I'm not particularly invincible..the more the nerves started to settle in.

We went to his cousins house, got the bike and headed for the woods where the trials are that most people take. His cousin was kind of making me nervous by saying that my legs are going to burn because the engine was right underneath me and he kept saying to my boyfriend, "why are you making your gf ride it when there's no place to put her feet?" (cause I was riding with him where there are obviously no holders for a second person). I can see he was being a bit rude and sarcastic, but part of me was like that's true.. Although he started to get annoyed by his very opinionated cousins, I calmed him down and told him I'm tough I'll be okay ;).

At first I was scared shitless, not gunna lie. But once you feel that breeze in your face and you're hair flowing back while he steered the way was sooo much fun. We went over so many bumps and we hit this 1 so hard I flew so high that my butt was around the same height as his shoulders. It was crrazzy! We took so many different paths and twists then we ended up at this beautiful lake. I couldn't take pictures because I left my phone in the car (sorry! I'm so mad I didn't bring it with me but I couldn't hold it anyway). Once I got off the bike my inner thighs were so incredibly sweating it was unreal and my hair was all over the place.

I was laughing the whole time because it seriously is such a rush and I live for moments like that. Where you go into a situation being skeptical and come out on top in the end. It's the best feeling knowing it's something you're excited to do again. I encourage everyone to go out and do something you wouldn't normally do with your friends or significant other. I'm not condoning drugs, drinking or sex lol..I'm saying to go do something adrenaline pumping, like rock climbing or sky diving, dirt biking, quading and GET DIRTY! It's such an incredible feeling! I'm so happy I got over my fear and actually had a great time!
