Today I went to the mall with my cousin who has been working her butt off so obviously she has money to spend. Since I literally haven't been to my piss poor job in 3 weeks and buying a car..I'm broker than broke.
We went to Sephora first and she picked out what she wanted and I just browsed. She asked if I wanted anything and she'd pay for it. Unless it's my boyfriend, I really don't like to take people's money. And no I am not a gold digger haha me and him just like to get each other things. If it's anybody else I feel bad for taking their money. So I kindly said no and she bought her Kat Von D concealer and liquid eyeliner pen and she is going to do a little demo in the morning of it. If she likes it when I get the money, I might invest in it.
Then we went to Claire's to find something for her niece. We got her something and ourselves some small jewelry. Well I didn't want to get it because I didn't want to spend the $12 that was on the package (we didn't see the $5 sale sign like morons). She saw how much I wanted them and kindly paid for them for me. Since I got Daisy I have been obsessing over daises so naturally I leaned towards getting the daisy earrings lol. I love my earrings and I'm so grateful she got them for me... but I felt bad that I didn't pay for it myself.
We went into Forever 21 and omg did they have a lot of cute stuff that I wanted. We grabbed a handful of clothes and hit the dressing room. Which was soo much fun and I recommend every girl doing it at least once! Of course I put my things back and she bought her things.
We went into my job so I can get an air freshener for my car. Again you can imagine how awkward it was since I haven't been there in 3 weeks. I spent $6 and ran out. We then went into Rainbow to quickly look around as we wait for my dad to pick us us. I found a $7 kimono that I loved but started to have second thoughts about. I need to start saving up for insurance and plates on my car so I need to save as much money as humanly possible so I decided not to get it.
There are some more important things like things you NEED instead of WANT..even if it is on sale. Stop spending money on new kicks and start saving it to buy a car or a house or pay your rent. Obviously if you have money to blow then use as you wish, but if you're struggling and just want new shoes then re-evaluate what's more important. It's a much more fulfilling feeling having and saving up your money to do/buy things you want instead of mooching off of other people's hard earned money.
