First Impression:
Initially, I was really excited to try this foundation out because I have heard nothing but good things about it. That it has medium-full coverage and it makes it feel like your normal skin and not cakey. However, my first time using it didn't go so well. I had to do my makeup for work and I decided it would be a good time to try it out. Boy was I wrong. It felt pretty heavy on my skin and didn't give me a whole lot of coverage like my holy grail foundation does. It doesn't dry quickly, remained tacky so for oily skin that doesn't feel the greatest. Then I tried setting it with powder to remove that tackiness, but it just made it feel cakier and just gross.
Claims:
- SPF 20
- 18 hour wear
- "Smooth Blend Comfort"
Final Verdict:
After giving this foundation a second chance yesterday, I realized that it would be better to use in the colder seasons for me at least. I do have oily skin in the summer time or in warmer climates so this one didn't feel right to me. However, yesterday being a colder day, it felt a lot better on my skin. It actually did prove to have good coverage but I didn't know you would need to pump that much product. Normally for my Covergirl makeup it takes 2 pumps in total to do my entire face, for this makeup it took a total of 6 pumps to get the desired coverage all of my face. It did last for 5 hours that I had it on my face and still looked good, so I do believe the 18 hour wear claim they posted. My only complaint about this product is that it is reaallly hard to take off lol. You need some heavy duty exfoliant to feel your natural skin again. It has a semi-dewi finish to it, so like I said I will be using this foundation in the colder seasons to give my face that moisture it needs that my Covergirl does not give!
Would I recommend?
✓ I actually would recommend this product to anyone who has dry skin all the time and wants that extra boost of coverage since it is very build-able. For anyone who is like me and their skin changes depending on the weather, try this foundation out for the colder seasons. It's add that perfect pinch of moisture that your normal matte foundation does not!
