"But Don't You Take The Easy Way Out"

Allie: "You arrogant son of a bitch."
Noah: "Would you just stay with me?"
Allie: "Stay with you? What for? Look at us, we're already fightin'. "
Noah: "Well that's what we do, we fight... You tell me when I am being an arrogant son of a bitch and I tell you when you are a pain in the ass. Which you are, 99% of the time. I'm not afraid to hurt your feelings. You have like a 2 second rebound rate, then you're back doing the next pain-in-the-ass thing."
Allie:  "So what?"
Noah: "So it's not gonna be easy. It's gonna be really hard. We're gonna have to work at this every day, but I want to do that because I want you. I want all of you, for ever, you and me, every day. Will you do something for me, please? Just picture your life for me? 30 years from now, 40 years from now? What's it look like? If it's with him, go. Go! I lost you once, I think I can do it again. If I thought that's what you really wanted. But don't you take the easy way out."

"The Notebook" is a movie that can really speak to any audience who has a soft spot for romance flicks.. but what would it say to you if you're actually going through the same thing as the main characters are?

Allie and Noah started out madly in love with each other. Completely inseparable. Noah adored Allie and never let her forget it. Their body language showed how much they were crazy about each other. Every second of every day thinking about each other, spending every waking second texting each other little smiling emoji's and " <333" and all the I love you's, but God forbid you didn't answer them within 2 minutes they'd get mad because that 2 minutes is time wasted that you could be cherishing every butterfly they created in your stomach.

Being in a loving, serious relationship but agreeing on barely anything anymore..Constant fighting only makes you want to throw them away, but you secretly know that nothing could keep you apart..

Watching the entire movie being in that current situation really makes you think and wonder if what you have is really worth waiting for, worth hurting for, worth fighting for. You start to think if you went in a different direction like Allie did..will it kill the other person.. or will they wait and never stop thinking about you for every waking second. When your eyes finally lock..will every memory flash back and you both realize you really do need each other for the rest of your lives.

For Allie and Noah, the fighting and the break ups and the mending process was all worth it. They truly lived happily ever after together. I hope to have a love like that one day. That no "easy way out" was being taken. A love where no matter how far apart our lives have taken us, that we'll always find a way back to each other. A love where the arguments don't mean it all ends and everything was worth fighting over.
