If you haven't heard the buzz about the new and improved Bruce Jenner then lets catch you up. We all know from that interview on television that Bruce wasn't feeling happy in the skin he was in. He felt like he wasn't living his life with being a male. Like most issues, everyone is going to have their opinions, whether it's actually beneficial or not. But what's most shocking to me is how unaccepting and how judgemental human beings can be towards other human beings when all they're trying to do is live their life happily.
I had come home from class when I found the news all over my instagram and my immediate reaction was "Wow, he is free now. He can finally be happy." But I'm afraid that not everyone felt that way. In fact more of the people who are supposed to be forgiving and understanding individuals, are the most hurtful. Yes I'm talking about Christians/Catholics...and yes again, I am Christian. So I'm showing my complete honest opinion about both sides of the spectrum.. so you can't talk shit lol.
I grew up where church was mandatory every sunday and 3 different prayers had to be said every night before bed. And if you fell asleep before saying it, you'd feel pretty crappy in the morning. My uncle has bible talks every saturday in Connecticut so when we'd visit, my parents would sit around and talk for legit 4+ hours, and the kids would be able to hear them talk. So I grew up around very religious people, no I haven't read the bible in its entirety, no I don't know every day of Jesus' life. But I do know one thing, and that's how to be a good human being and treat others respectfully enough to understand that other people are just trying to find themselves out and live happily. I don't need to read the bible and know every word to understand that God loves me enough to know that I need to do whatever it takes to make me 100% happy and will always accept me no matter what.
Your life is your life. Just because Bruce Jenner decided that he wanted to become Caitlyn, doesn't mean you strict Christians out there need to destroy him and his happiness he worked so hard to build up and make public. Which takes immense amount of courage BTW. You don't play the role of God, you don't know that he would reprimand those people just because that's what you would believe. We are not living back in the BC era, we are living in more understanding times where to understand how to get through life, is to do whatever makes you happy.
Caitlyn is doing whatever makes her happy. It doesn't even directly affect you does it? Does Caitlyn being happy make you a better Christian? Is saying someone is going to hell, assure you that you're going to heaven? Because I'm pretty sure you at least have to be a good human being to be "accepted' into heaven, if that. And you kind of people being rude and judgemental, is making you look close minded, rude and like an asshole. Sorry I just had to say it, but it's the truth.
She looks gorgeous, she looks happy, she looks free. Free to be herself and not wear a mask to please everyone or to deter any judgements. She's free to do things that make her happy now and to live her life the way she imagined. You can learn something from her, because she's out living her life happily and you're behind your computer screen without even personally knowing her or getting the chance to empathize with her reason to change. So before you judge someone based on their appearance or sudden decision, imagine how that person is feeling. They could feel trapped and depressed and you're not helping if you're not willing to be understanding.
YOU LOOK GOOD CAITLYN! LIVE YOUR LIFE & MAKE IT COUNT SWEET PEA!
