This months glam bag was a 6/10 for me. Loved some stuff and could really go without a few of them. As always, if you're looking to try out new brands/products for a low cost of $10 a month, click this link >>IPSY<< to subscribe! It's a fun program, you wont regret signing up!
When I initially received this product I was kind of on the fence about it. Mainly because I don't really use eye shadow primer... call it a bad thing to not use it. But I just use concealer on my eyelids and that acts as my primer. The formula feels like the Elf Cosmetics eye primer I had before and I wasn't really that impressed with it. With that being said, I probably will not ever be repurchasing this in the fuller size and I don't personally recommend it.
WOW! When I first swatched this product fresh out of my glam bag, I fell in love with it. It was really pigmented and didn't budge when I rubbed it. So I'm thinking this bad boy is waterproof...mainly because I tried taking it off with my saliva..gross. Anyway! I tried it on my lids and I felt kind of disappointed. The color didn't really remain as black as when I first swatched it and so it faded quickly on me. I must say that I love felt tip applicators because I feel more in control, but they can also get very annoying in the sense of it can get streaky and not as opaque as a brush tip. Nonetheless, I do like this product but not sure if I like it that much to where I'd repurchase again.
Hikari: Lip Gloss in Merlot I'm a huge fan of maroon, purple or deep red lipsticks in whatever season it is, so I was very happy to try this product out. However, I wasn't so impressed with the quality of the packaging. Weird thing for me to start off saying I know, but my 4 year old brother obviously didn't know how to open it and was trying to 'pull' the cap off and it literally just broke. My 4 year old brother that barely has muscles yet, broke a lip gloss cap. I was very upset, but I mean I obviously still used it. When I swatched it the color seemed very opaque and kind of thick. Keep in mind, I absolutely hate lip glosses... I can't stand having that tacky texture on my lips all day long. Plus I drive a stick-shift convertible car so the wind was blowing in my face and my hair was literally turning purple because it stuck to my lips. Continuing on.. I love this shade, but the thing I hate about lip glosses is that they transfer easily and aren't very practical when you have to keep touching up during the day. The color faded and feathered out fairly quickly and I was left with a nasty purple rim on the outside of my lips as if I just applied lip liner. And that was during work for only a few hours. I personally will not be purchasing this product again and never again will I get lip glosses lol.
Beauty Without Cruelty: Leave in Conditioner This product stole the show for me in all honesty. The aromatherapy aspect of it is a nice minty scent to make you relaxed and ready for bed. It's very moisturizing for my hair and I love the texture/consistency of it. Spreads perfectly on damp hair and applies evenly. The neat thing about this as well, is that it doesn't necessarily dry on your hair fast so you have enough time to work it into your ends, roots and then everywhere else. Love this stuff! Definitely recommend and will possibly re-purchase!
Trust Fund: Nail Polish in Elegantly Wasted In each glam bag I always have at least one product I haven't tried yet for some particular reason. I rarely wear nail polish for the fact that my job entitles working with cardboard and opening them and heavy lifting, so they break easily. I really don't have a whole lot of nail action going on lol. I only wear nail polish when I get acrylic nails, so the next time I go (which I don't know when) I'll use this color... or I'll give it to my mom instead haha. I still think it's a beautiful color so I definitely want to try it out for myself. I also want to mention that I saw some girls from ipsy wearing this nail color and it looks amazing on them!
