Urban Decay "All Nighter" Setting Spray

Hey guys, I'm very excited to announce that my lame-o first day of work, has finally looked up and I am enjoying it a lot more than I originally was. I've relaxed a little and decided to buy my first thing the other day so I can test try it for people like me who are late to the makeup game like I am. If you haven't tried this setting spray because you don't want to break the bank..tune it now to see if it's worth it!

Claims:
  • "Is makeup meltdown ruining your midnight mojo? Mist on this weightless spray to give your makeup serious staying power. All Nighter keeps your makeup looking gorgeously just-applied for up to 16 hours - without melting, cracking, fading or settling into fine lines. Developed in an exclusive partnership with SKINDINAVIA, this groundbreaking, clinically tested formula is suitable for all skin types and features patented Temperature Control Technology. Yep, this baby actually lowers the temperature of your makeup to keep foundation, eyeshadow, blush and concealer in place - even in hot and humid or cold and windy conditions. The result? Smoother-looking skin and vibrant makeup that lasts all day (or all night)." (Taken from Ulta.com)

First Impression: "why tf are there two caps?" So basically once you open the packaging, the bottle has purple cap and then a clear cap. Don't ask me why...I'm pretty sure it's for sealing purposes. I don't mind it, I just take off both the caps every time I use it. More importantly, let's talk about the actual formula. So once I sprayed it in an "X" and "T" shape, as recommended, on my face, I've noticed it set pretty quickly and made my skin feel amazing. The only thing that bugged me was that the nozzle on it kind of gets stuck and doesn't spray, well at least the one I got, so when I press hard I'm scared I'm just going to waste the product because it won't be going where I want it to go.

First Use: I noticed the first time I used this my makeup looked amazing. It set everything in place and nothing budged all day. It made my powders set and look like skin. Places where I'd normally get really oily were pretty matte after a couple hours. Be careful though, after a really long day, my skin began to get oily again. I was just happy I wasn't a total greaseball by the end of the day. I was so happy with the results when I first used it, But sometimes products work wonders for you one day, and other days it's your worst nightmare. It all depends on how you prime your face as well. I found using a good primer also helps the longevity of the product as well!

Couple uses: My second use was actually not that great for me. In all honesty, I didn't really have a good primer on so I'm thinking that was it. I also used a different foundation this time as well. Surprisingly, the first time I used it was with Covergirl's Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1, the second time was with Tarte Amazonian Clay foundation. I didn't set the Tarte one though, as I did the Covergirl...sorry for being confusing haha. But as you can see a few factors come into play when getting your face to flawlessness. You just have to play around with it and see what works best. Anywhoooo..my second time was disgusting.. I had oilyness everywhere and my dry patches showed in areas I applied acne medication HOURS AGO. And it was peeling and just YUCK. I went home and took it off immediately.

*Today I am using the Maybelline Baby Skin Primer + Covergirl foundation + powder + the spray all day today so tonight I will come back and make an update!*

Would I Recommend: I do believe the claims, so I would recommend. Like I said, you just have to play around with the different combinations that work best for your skin type. (In case you were curious my skin type is combination: extra dry on my cheeks/ around my chin - oily in my T-zone). I believe the claims from the first time I wore it and you can most likely tell from my First Use! I love this spray. I got the travel size with my discount at around $11+tax, so it's awesome to carry around my purse with in case I need a quick spritz when I'm oily. (BTW! I know they have one for oily skin, but I chose not to get it because I do have extremely dry skin on my cheeks!).

If you're late to the game like I am because of financial reasons and you're looking for a reliable makeup setting spray, I recommend you checking this one out! Take it from me, it's worth the $$$. If it turns out it didn't work for your skin type, you can always return it! Don't be afraid to return things if you're dissatisfied!
